Meet Annalisa, Programmatic Communications Officer

Annalisa Ausilio is the Programmatic Communications Officer at CIVIC, bringing more than 10 years of experience in digital communication and content creation focused on audio-visual and multimedia materials. She is specialized in shaping brand positioning and creating powerful and impactful storytelling to provide a compelling narrative on humanitarian crisis, conflicts, emergencies and natural disasters.
Being deeply committed to causes promoting human rights, she has been deployed in several field missions including Ukraine, Somalia, Kenya, Belarus, Haiti, Indonesia and Central Mediterranean Sea aboard rescue ships providing humanitarian assistance to migrants attempting to cross the sea.
Prior to joining CIVIC, she served as Audio – Visual Manager at the Doctors Without Borders and as Communication Coordinator for the Italian Red Cross and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) managing social media channels, producing digital materials and handling media requests. More recently, she covered the role of communication specialist at Change.org.
A former videographer and journalist, she started her career in Italy working for the national newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano and for the national TB broadcasting Tadaga – channel La7, covering national breaking news, political event and producing two documentaries for Rai networks on the issue of migration in Italy.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Journalism from the University of Social Sciences in Florence and a master’s degree in Journalism from the ‘Massimo Baldini School of Journalism’ at Luiss University in Rome.
