Margaryta Oksanichenko joined the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) in Ukraine as a Protection Officer in November 2024.

She brings over 10 years of experience in humanitarian and economic development, including her previous work with CIVIC in Donetsk Oblast (2020-2021), where she focused on building partnerships with local authorities, communities, and the military to enhance civilian protection along the conflict line.

Margaryta has also served as Workforce Development Manager at USAID Economic Resilience Activity, implementing workforce development and mental health support programs for conflict-affected populations.

She has provided legal aid and psychosocial support to IDPs and vulnerable groups through the Danish Refugee Council and “Right to Protection” Charitable Foundation.

Margaryta holds degrees in Business Law and Practical Psychology, with additional training in negotiation, psychosocial support, and conflict resolution.
