Marta Skurska is the Senior Program Manager at CIVIC in Ukraine, where she oversees the implementation of CIVIC’s programs aimed at enhancing the protection of civilians in conflict.

She leads strategic engagement with local communities, government stakeholders, and security and defense actors to strengthen civilian protection measures and promote sustainable solutions to conflict-related challenges. 

Marta has experience in program management, donor relations, and humanitarian coordination, with a strong background in security and civilian protection.

Before joining CIVIC, she worked for the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine, where she managed the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), overseeing funding programs that supported civil society and humanitarian initiatives.

She has also served as a Deputy Monitoring Officer at INSO Ukraine, where she managed a team of field monitors and provided critical analysis on security trends affecting humanitarian operations. 

Her areas of expertise include program management, donor relations, and program strategy development.
