Raïssa Sabindemyi is a People & Culture Business Partner at CIVIC, providing dedicated People & Culture support to field-based P&C focal points and Country Operations Managers across the organization.

She also supports the establishment and administration of employment processes, payroll, and benefits for CIVIC’s Brussels-based employees. With an educational background in European and international law, she brings a strong international perspective to her work in People & Culture.

She has 10 years of experience in the NGO sector, with a background in international HR, mobility, and organizational support which has been shaped by years in the humanitarian sector. She joined CIVIC in April 2026 and looks forward to sharing adaptability, empathy, and a good sense of humour, which she believes are often as essential as any policy.

She is deeply committed to strengthening people-centred systems that support staff working in complex environments. She loves partnering with colleagues globally to enhance HR practices and ensure that our teams feel supported, equipped, and valued.

Outside of work, you can usually find her exploring new recipes, discovering films, or listening to music 🙂 — three things that keep her grounded and remind her that good rhythm, good stories, and good seasoning are as essential in work as they are in life.
